Autoban designed the new London flagship for Kısmet by Milka, the Istanbul-born fine jewellery and luxury piercing brand, now open at 110 New Bond Street. Marking a major step in the brand’s global expansion, the two-level boutique introduces a distinct design language to one of the world’s most prestigious retail addresses.
The collaboration brings together two Istanbul-rooted studios known for craft, innovation, and layered storytelling. Tasked with translating Kısmet by Milka’s confident, boundary-pushing ethos into a spatial identity, Autoban conceived a contemporary retail environment that merges bold femininity with tactile refinement.
The design draws from the workshop culture of Istanbul’s Grand Bazaar, specifically the atelier tables and lighting found in traditional jewellery studios. This raw, hands-on spirit is reinterpreted through sculptural furniture, rich materials, and a spatial rhythm that supports both intimacy and exploration. A terrazzo shell recalls mosaic-like surfaces from old-world craft, while modular display tables and seating elements echo the zigzag form of the letter "M", subtly embedding the brand into the architecture.
The colour palette, grounded in a custom pink developed for the London launch, brings vibrancy and cohesion to the space. Lighting remains hidden and atmospheric, and ceilings are finished in textured paint that evokes the softness of the Mediterranean. Natural wood, polished steel, and terrazzo create a material dialogue of contrast and balance, reflecting the duality at the heart of the brand: fierce yet refined, rooted yet forward-looking.
As the first and only luxury piercing studio on New Bond Street operated by professional piercers, the flagship offers a hybrid experience where high-end service meets intimate styling. The result is a space that feels youthful, elevated, and deeply personal—an environment designed to unfold around each visitor.
With 17 standalone stores and more than 100 points of sale worldwide, Kısmet by Milka continues to expand its presence across global fashion capitals. The London flagship reflects a shared ethos between client and designer: one that values originality, craftsmanship, and the courage to reimagine conventions.
