Atelier Rebul, a heritage apothecary and refined perfumery founded in Istanbul in 1895, embarks on a new chapter of global expansion with a forward-looking retail strategy. As the brand prepares to scale internationally while marking 130 years of craft, Autoban was commissioned to translate its legacy into a contemporary spatial identity, one capable of carrying heritage, intimacy, and sensory storytelling into a global future.
Guided by The Alchemy of Encounters—the brand’s manifesto—the design frames each store as a place of meaningful interaction and discovery. More than a retail space, Atelier Rebul becomes a setting for ritual, reflection, and connection, where the architecture supports moments that linger as memory.
Autoban’s approach begins with the brand’s most iconic object: the perfume bottle. Its precise proportions become the foundation of a new architectural alphabet, informing shelving, counters and modular display systems, each element adaptable across international locations, while remaining unmistakably rooted in the brand’s identity.
Material choices evoke both scientific clarity and poetic depth: walls clad in deep burgundy ceramic nod to the apothecary’s rich past, while travertine floors and warm oak details introduce tactile softness and timelessness. Hexagonal shelving modules recall the structure of scent itself, modular, layered, and harmonious, while concealed lighting preserves a calm, immersive atmosphere. Throughout, the olfactory experience remains at the center of the spatial narrative.
London becomes the first expression of this new design language, setting the tone for a global rollout. With this architectural identity, Autoban captures both the precision and emotion that define Atelier Rebul: a brand shaped by tradition, poised for the world stage, and ever guided by the alchemy between mastery and encounter.
