Bergère Sofa

Inspired by the classical French armchair, the Bergère has an italicized profile combined with a rigid, boxy outer shell. An icon of Autoban’s unique design sensibility, the sofa’s seat frame is similarly upholstered, but the rest of the wooden framing is exposed. However, at this contemporary reinterpretation of the classical chair, the designers eliminated any frivolous details to arrive at an object of great precision. Also in the same series, the Bergère armchair and bed both share the sofa’s laid-back profile combined with a rigid shell.
