2,5 Chair

The 2,5 chair grew out of 1.5 chair, which is about sharing a chair, a response to technology’s increasing isolation of the individual. The oversized seat of 1,5 chair accommodated people of larger girth, but also two people of slight build, or even just a person who spreads out while seated. Just like its slightly petit sibling, the design of 2,5 chair is reduced to the bare essentials, with angled rear legs giving it a twist.
